Rides Programme Autumn 2008 Sunday 7th September: Rye C.C. Open Studios ride. Meet at Hastings Station for 10.26 or at the Fat Controller Café cat Rye Station 10.50. Viewing several studios; be prepared with own refreshments although possibility of pub stop. Likely to be mainly flat. Return trains 45 minutes past the hour. Self-guided route available at start or by contacting leader, David Colquhoun (07804-293 620). Sunday 21st September: Bexhill C.C. Open Studios Ride. Meet at Hastings Pier at 11.00 to view several Bexhill/Cooden studios. Café stops and/or bring own refreshments. Return by train if preferred, 41 minutes past the hour.   Self-guided route available at start or by contacting leader, David Colquhoun (07804-293 620). Friday 26th Sept: Fun Bicycle Ride – Critical Mass Hastings. Meet 7pm at Hastings pier – share the road, go with the flow, bring yourself, your bike lights, peace ‘n’ love’ – More info www.critical-mass.info Sunday October 12th: Pevensey via Rickney and Hankham to Hailsham. Meet at Hastings Station for 11.17 or at Cooden Beach Station at 11.32. Cycling on lanes to Pevensey and on to Hailsham for a lunch stop, pub or bring own. Shorter version return via Cuckoo Trail to Polegate Station (16-18 miles) or go on from Hailsham northwards, deciding on the day. Phone John Stiles (842314). Sunday 19th October, Rye Wheelers & Rotary Club Ride Starts from The Rye Club, Market Road, Rye. Start time 09.00 - 10.00 (registration from 08.45). Entry fee £5.00 (in advance) £6.00 (on the day). 11 - 16 year old £2.00 (£3.00 on the day). There are four distances to choose from:- 100km, 50km, 25km and 10km. Saturday October 25th: Berwick to Lewes. Meet at Hastings Station at 10.26 or at Berwick Station at 11.20 to go via country lanes, a few slight hills, stop at Middle Park farm Café, and on to Lewes, to the John Harvey Tavern for a lunch break.
